My last post was about two weeks before my first kid appeared. And my second. Twins. Very few still moments long enough to make a blog post.

For a bit it seemed like I wouldn’t be able to do construction much due to demands of twin kids. So I started a clothing repair business, which actually turned out to be a great idea. It was a crazy sleep-deprived and stressed-out decision in the moment. My physical well-being found its way back and so did construction work. But first I got some machines and made them tables, four tables in all. Here are some.

Here was my entry back into carpentry.

then a shed, then a whole big house!

My wife was losing her mind only caring for kids, so intense and isolating. For a month we were thinking she could escape in the garden. I have made maybe eight snaths by now, four good ones. This good one was for her.

This didn’t help with the isolation, so she got a great full-time job baking with friends and has done it since. I do sewing on the weekend and construction on my other days ‘free’.

Now it looks like I’m going to trim that big house too. Cabinets and trim and railings for everyone

A lot has changed in the last four years; I’m tired of burning gas and churning money. I’ll just build things and be with my kids. Less stuffing, more turkey, you know? My friend Greg made this killer bike and it’s how I’m getting to all the carpentry jobs within ~15 mi now.
