I’m trying to dial in my saw chain square-filing technique. Every time I do the math, a grinder doesn’t seem practical here. So I came up with a filing aid, to potentially avoid the shortfalls of hand-filed chain:

This thing on the handle lets me check that each tooth is filed the same amount:

Here’s a PDF template. I made the above with an angle grinder and 1/8” sheet. I scored the bend and tack welded it after bending.
